Utrechtboog is a rail bridge construction in the south-east of the Dutch capital Amsterdam, which was opened on 12 March 2006. Through the Utrechtboog trains can travel from Utrecht without crossing the train station Amsterdam Centraal to reach Schiphol airport, whereby the trains have about seven minutes of time. Before that, the passengers had either to travel via Amsterdam Centraal or change trains at Duivendrecht station. The Utrechtboog is heading for Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA from the Amsterdam-Arnhem railway line and leads on two viaducts, one-way, towards the west and then traverses the Weesp-Leiden railway track after about 1,500 meters. In future, the ICE-International is to travel from Frankfurt am Main via the Utrechtboog to Schiphol station.
