University of Belize

The University of Belize (UB) is a public university in Belize. It has campuses in the capital Belmopan, in the city of Belize in Landivar Oeste and the highway Freetown in the district of Cayo, in Punta Gorda in the district of Toledo. It also has marine research stations in Calabash and the Hunting Keys in the Belize District. The University of Belize offers degrees, and other degrees. The current dean is Dr. Palacio. Some master's degrees have been initiated in Social Sciences, Business, among others. The main field is in Belmopan (currently expanding) and in Belize City.

The colors of the university are purple and gold, its mascot is the black Jaguar and its motto is "Education gives strength to the nation."
