Heinrich Bender (born December 2, 1902 in Lohrbach, Germany, July 10, 1943) was a German rugby union player and rower.

Bender was also known as Freitigs Heiner in his hometown Lohrbach after the house name of his birthplace. He was active at the Heidelberger Ruderklub, a sports club specializing in rowing and rugby. As a rugby player, Bender won two German rugby championships in 1927 and 1928. As a rower, he was a participant in the summer Olympics in Amsterdam in 1928. On August 16, 1931, he became German ruler with the rowing team Amicitia from Mannheim. In the following year he took part in the Olympics Summer Games in Los Angeles with the German rowing team.
