F41 (Paralympics)

F41 is a starting class of paralympic sports for athletes in athletics. Attitudes of athletes are outlined as follows: "Athletes with short stature."

The classification of the class indicates the competitive level of the functional handicap of an athlete. Athletes in Class F41 must meet the following conditions to start the technical disciplines of Paralympic Athletics:

The letter "T" (track) stands for track and field athletics for track and field disciplines, the letter "F" (field) for the technical disciplines. For small-scale athletes, although in theory, there are no paralympic competitions in railway and jumping disciplines. Therefore, there is only the class F41, but not a class T41. The technical disciplines in class F41 are almost exclusively throwing disciplines. Therefore the arm length is considered as a further selection criterion in individual cases.
