Ammi-ditana

Ammi-ditana, ninth king of the I Dynasty of Babylon (1683 BC - 1647 BC).

Son and successor of King Abī-Ešuḫ, he conquered Der and other territories lost in the time of Šamšu-iluna. He carried out a work of reconstruction of the kingdom, improving some part of the wall of Babylon and sanitizing canals. However, he had to share power with other kings who dominated the southern part of Mesopotamia. It took the city of Isín, to which it destroyed its walls once in its power.

He was succeeded to the throne by Ammi-Saduqa. Bibliography
