Sant Kabir Nagar district is one of the 70 districts of Uttar Pradesh state of northern India. Khalilabad city is a part of the district headquarter, Sant Kabir Nagar District is a part of the Basti Mandal. This district is surrounded by Siddhartha Nagar and Maharajganj districts in the north by Gorakhpur district in the Ambedkar Nagar district in the south and the Basti district in the west. Mahadev Temple: - Mahadev Temple is located in Tama village, 8 kilometers from Khalilabad. This temple is dedicated to Lord Tameshwar Nath. Maghar: - This city is situated at a distance of about seven kilometers south-west of the district headquarters. This is the place where the saint poet Kabir died. Bakhira: - This place is situated about 18 kilometers from Gorakhpur district. Especially this place is known for the huge Moti Lake. It is believed that this lake was named by Nawab Sadat Ali Khan.
