Juan Aldovera

Juan Aldovera was a Spanish theater actor born in Madrid who became one of the most celebrated funny of his time.

In 1776 he acted as first comedian in the theaters of Barcelona and moved to Madrid, entering the company of Eusebio Ribera with the category of second. The year 1782 replaced, like first funny, in the company of the author Juan Ponce, to the famous Gabriel Lopez, nicknamed Chinita. Some of the literature, he wrote some sainetes and is credited with a booklet entitled Comic Dialogue between Aldovera and Poland (1788), in which he came out in defense of his hard-working colleagues in the Diario de Madrid.

Aldovera passed away almost suddenly.
