Felix Magno

Felix Magno is a Spanish book of chivalry, published for the first time in Barcelona in 1531, in the printing press of Carlos Amorós, with the title of The four books of the most valiant knight Felix Magno. The identity of its author is ignored and it is only known that he was raised by Don Fadrique of Portugal, bishop of Sigüenza and viceroy of Catalonia. Apparently, the work was well received in the public, because the printer Sebastián Trujillo reprinted it in Seville in 1543 and 1549.

The work tells the story of Felix the Great, son of King Falángriz of Great Britain and Queen Clarinea, and his search for glory as the salvation of soul and body. Much of its pages are devoted to the paladin's struggles against Muslims. In each of the four books, the protagonist adopts a different appellation.
