Colombo was a member of the Milan sports association Mediolanum and specialized in the short running distance. In 1900, he was a member of the Italian team at the Olympic Summer Games in Paris, and started over 100 meters and 400 meters. Over 100 meters he missed the qualification for the next round as the third of his lead, more than 400 meters he finished fourth or fifth of his lead.
