Studienkreis Rundfunk and History

Year Book 2011

The Studienkreis Rundfunk und Geschichte (StRuG) is a scientific association that aims to explore the history of radio, television and "new media".

The Studienkreis was founded in 1968 at the suggestion of Wilhelm Treue, who was the chairman for many years. He publishes the Yearbook Media and History (since 2001) and the journal "Rundfunk und Geschichte" (RuG, since 1974). The scientific association works closely with the German Broadcasting Archives.

Experts from science and practice work on specific topics in specific specialist groups. At the moment there are the following specialist groups: archives and documentation, literature, music, technology and history of recollection.

The study group includes scientists, media researchers, archivists, technicians and students. Through the annual doctoral colloquia, young scientists are promoted. Edit source text Edit source text Weblinks Edit sourcetext Standard Data (Corporate Body): GND: 2037892-0 (AKS)
