Rey Xuan de Zhou


King Xuan of Zhou (Chinese: 周 宣王, pinyin: Zhōu Xuān Wáng) was the eleventh king of the Zhou dynasty of China. The estimated dates of his reign are 827-782 a. C. or 827 / 25-782 a. C.

Worked to restore royal authority, after interregnum Gonghe. He fought against the "western barbarians," probably the Hisen-yu and other groups of the Huai River in the southeast. In his ninth year, he called a meeting of all the lords. Later, he intervened militarily in the succession battles of the states of Lu, Wey and Qi. Sima Qian says that "From this moment on, many lords rebelled against the royal orders."
