In 1970, Mintarja won with the Indonesian team at the Thomas Cup, the men's world championship, losing a double with Indratno against Ng Boon Bee and Punch Gunalan in the final against Malaysia, the other double against Tan Aik Huang and Ng Tat Wai won. At the Singapore Open in 1967, he was in the final in the final, but lost Tan Yee Khan and Ng Boon Bee. In the semifinals before, the Indonesians had conquered Ippei Kojima and Masao Akiyama from Japan in three sets. In the final of the Singapore Pesta Championships 1968 they lost again against Tan Yee Khan and Ng Boon Bee. For the 4-1 win against Singapore, Mintarja contributed two victories in 1967.
