Andrzej Grubba


Andrzej Grubba (May 14, 1958, Brzeźno Wielkie - 26 July 2005, Sopot) was a Polish athlete of the table tennis specialty.

Born in Brzeźno Wielkie, near Starogard Gdański, Poland, he was one of the best table tennis players in Polish history, along with Warot Ehrlich.

Three times he was awarded bronze medals in world championships - in 1989 in singles, in 1985 in mixed, and in 1987 in doubles with Leszek Kucharski. Grubba participated three times in the Olympic Games. It reached number three in the ranking of the best table tennis players.

He died of cancer at the age of 47.
