Gérard Hophra


Gérard Hophra (born 20 August 1989 in Liège) is a Belgian road bike racer.

Gérard Hophra began his career in 2009 with the Belgian Continental Team Lotto-Bodysol. In his first year, he was second in the provincial championship of Liège in the road race of the U23 class. Next year he went for the amateur team Royal Cyclists Pesant Club Liège. He was among the ninths of Philippe Van Coningsloo and second in the U23 season of the Belgian championship, behind the winner Jonathan Breyne. In the 2011 season, he became champion of the province of Liège in road racing. He also won the prologue at the Polish stage race Carpathia Couriers Paths.
