AMSS (Radio)

The AMSS (amplitude modulation signaling system) is a system similar to the Radio Data System (RDS) for the transmission of text information on radio stations. Unlike the RDS system, the AMSS is not used for FM stations, but for Long Wave, Medium Wave and Short Wave.

AMSS data can be received with the aid of a DRM receiver or a modified radio and suitable software that can decode DRM as well.

This system has been standardized by the ETSI (TS 102 386) as an extension to the Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) system. Use
