Weddings in dance

I matrimoni in ballo is a farce per musica in an act with music of Domenico Cimarosa and libretto in Italian of Pasquale Mililotti. It premiered at the Teatro Nuovo in Naples, Italy at the carnival of 1776. It was later replaced with the title of Baronessa stramba in the same theater ten years later.

The only representation (and recording) in modern times was in Naples on September 30, 1958 with an interpretation of the Orchestra dell'associazione Alessandro Scarlatti under the direction of Franco Caracciolo. This time it was represented with the title of the baronessa stramba.
