İhsan Turnagöl
İhsan Turnagöl (* 24 January 1957 in Ankara) is a Turkish classical guitar player.
He studied guitar at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, at Mario Sicca and at the Music Academy of the City of Basel under Konrad Ragossnig.
After completing his studies, he began a lively concert activity, which led him through many European countries as well as to the Far East. Apart from several radio productions, he presented his first record in August 1981 with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti and Isaac Albéniz.
İhsan Turnagöl prefers contemporary music, and his talent to interpret them, inspired several composers to write for the guitar. Through an intensive collaboration with the composer Hermann Reutter some original compositions as well as a significant series of transcriptions Reutterschwerke for guitar solo, published by the Schott publishing house, partly also on record and CD at Wergo appeared.
From 1981 to 2005, İhsan Turnagöl was a lecturer for guitar at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Germany, after teaching and teaching at the Staatliche Musikhochschulen in Karlsruhe, Hanover and Freiburg im Breisgau.
