Grace Van Pelt
Grace Van Pelt is a character in the crime drama The Mentalist, played by Amanda Righetti. Van Pelt is a special agent in the fictional California Bureau of Investigation. carácter
Born April 4, 1983 Van Pelt is from a small farming town in Iowa. He tends to be overly sensitive at times, but he is very intelligent. Van Pelt works with Rigsby and Cho most of the time, but occasionally works with Jane or Lisbon. She is "the rookie" of the team, having started her work in the pilot episode. Grace has a cousin who is supposedly psychic, which sometimes causes arguments with Jane about matters of faith. In the Bloodshot episode, Jane makes an observation about the character of Van Pelt, saying, "... you are deeply repressed and emotionally turned off ... because of a trauma in the past that you have never told anyone ... ever .. even to yourself ... "by Van Pelt's facial expression seems to be confirmed.
In Season 2 in the episode Casting Fire, Van Pelt talks to a woman about to commit suicide for the loss of her son, describing the impact of her sister's suicide on her. Later, when Rigsby asks him, Van Pelt quickly states that "I've just walked out. I do not have a sister" abruptly looking away and changing the subject - leading the public to believe that I actually had a sister and just did not want to discuss the subject -. Love relationship with Rigsby
Van Pelt is well loved by the rest of the team, and Lisbon allows her to take initiatives in interviews, although she is still a newcomer. A recurring story is the infatuation of Rigsby with Van Pelt, we see him confess his feelings for the first time in Red. Later in the next episode Black Gold and Red Blood, Van Pelt and Rigsby seem to be coming out and greet each other happily at a crime scene - however Rigsby reveals to Van Pelt that he thinks Jane may know about their relationship. Later in Red Bulls, Van Pelt and Rigsby argue because he was not wearing a bulletproof vest. Van Pelt is shot several times in the chest talking to a young woman, but survives because she wore a bulletproof vest. As Rigsby climbs into the ambulance, she claims that the nurse and Van Pelt gives Rigsby a crush and tells her that next time she has to wear a bulletproof vest. Van Pelt and Rigsby have to decide whether one of the two moves or the relationship ends, and Van Pelt ends the relationship.
