Andrei and Vanya
Andrei and Vanya (born September 4, 1960) are twins brothers from the Czech Republic who are known as wolfskins. They are also known under the names John and Paul. They are also called the Koluchová twins, or Koluchová twins, according to the child psychologist Jarmila Koluchová from Palacký University Olomouc, who described their development. The twins are regarded as a developmental psychological case study.
The twins lost their mother at birth. A maternal aunt took care of the children and they developed normally. When her father remarried, he took the twins back with him. However, he was mostly not at home because of his work. The stepmother locked the two boys in the basement and only concerned with them when she hit them. When the twins were discovered in the cellar after five and a half years of martyrdom at the age of seven, they were smaller than usual for age, could not speak, and did not understand the meaning of pictures. The IQ of boys was estimated to be about 40.
The twins were then taken away from their parents and later adopted. In a loving environment they managed to catch up on their intellectual and emotional backlog. They first attended the school for people with learning disabilities and later a normal school, then both attended a technical college. One of the twins became a computer engineer and the other a teacher of technology. By mid-40, both were married, each had three children and a large circle of friends and were described as normal and equipped with slightly above average intelligence.
