University of the Isthmus (Mexico)

The University of the Isthmus (UNISTMO), is a public institution of higher education of the government of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. The university has three campuses, one located in Santo Domingo Tehuantepec, another in Ciudad Ixtepec and the most recent one in Juchitán de Zaragoza.

On June 18, 2002, the government of the state of Oaxaca decreed the creation of this university, and it began work in July 2002.

It offers 12 undergraduate degrees in the areas of social and administrative sciences, engineering and health sciences.
