certificate register

As a register of registries (or usually only a register), a list of the diplomats expiring from a law firm, in contrast to the copial book. As the records of incoming items are also referred to as "registers", it is possible to specify "inlet registers" or "outlet registers".

Registers go back to the late Roman administration practices. As a literary text, the Theoderichs of the Great are given by the Variae of the Cassiodorus and the Registers of the Epistles (Pope Gregory I). Therefore, registering in the Early and Highly Medieval Chancelleries is only customary at the Roman Curia. The oldest preserved original is the register of Gregory VII (Reg. Vat. 2), the continuous series of the original registers begins with Innocent III. in 1198 (Reg. Vat. 3). In France, the registering is customary only under Philip Augustus; in Sicily, registers have been in use since the time of Frederick II, probably according to the Norman law firm. In Norman England there are also record-like records. From the Holy Roman Empire, the first traces of registering under Henry VII are documented. Two volumes of the imperial registers of Ludwig of Bavaria are the oldest originals handed down. Also in the German territories, systematic register management is not carried out until the 14th century. Edit source text
