Giovanni Arvedi

Giovanni Arvedi (* 1937 in Cremona) is an Italian industrialist and owner of Acciaieria Arvedi SpA, which operates steelworks in Northern Italy.

Arvedi comes from a family that has been operating in steel production for a long time. He has significantly developed the ESP process for steel production, which is a significant energy saving in the production of a flat steel warmband.

In 1963, Arvedi founded a steel pipe manufacturing company, followed by further production and distribution companies in the steel sector. In 2007 the turnover of the four companies of the Arvedi Group amounted to 1.353 million euros with an annual production of approx. 1.5 million tonnes.
