Bendopnoe
In medicine, bendopnea (from English bend, bend, bend, and breathing, breathing) is characterized by an unpleasantly aggravated breathing activity (so-called shortness of breath), in the case of the prevention of the upper body - for example, to lace the shoes - occurs. It can be a symptom of cardiac insufficiency. In patients with a history of known heart failure, bendopnea may be an indication that cardiac insufficiency has worsened and the patient's previous medication has to be adjusted accordingly.
The symptom was newly introduced in 2014 by US researchers who measured the pressure in the heart and the ejection volumes in patients with systolic heart failure in various positions. In patients with bendopnea, a significantly higher pressure could be recorded in the right atrium (so-called right atrial pressure) and in the pulmonary vessels (pulmonary capillary closure pressure)
In contrast to dyspnoea and dyspnoea, two signs of cardiac insufficiency, which are known for a long time (but not particularly specific), bendopnea appears to indicate a greater stress on the heart. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Sources and individual documents Edit source text
