Shakti Chattopadhyay


Shakti Chattopadhyay (born November 25, 1934 - Death 23 March 1995) (শক্তি চট্টোপাধ্যায়) is considered as the leader of the hunger generation movement of Bengali literature, which was surprised by Kolkata through a manifesto in 1961. He was born in a poor family in the South 24 Parganah Jayanagar-Mazilpur village. At the Presidency College, while studying B.A., he disappeared from the college started writing poem and Chebasa went to his favorite friend Samir Raychowdhuri's house. He wrote the best poems in two years of life in Chibasa. He is considered principal in the Bengali Lirik poets after life lord. In his lifetime he lightened the 34th poet. In Santiniketan, he died in 1995 when he was on modernity. In his death, many of his unpublished poems were compiled by his friend Samir Sengupta. In 1983 he was awarded the Literature Academy Award for Keno Jabo poetry.
