Henning Foerster (born June 15, 1975 in Gotha) is a German politician (Die Linke). He was from 2011 to 2016 and since the end of August 2017 has been a deputy in the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Before his time in the Landtag, Foerster was appointed chairman of DB Dialog GmbH at the Schwerin site five years later. He has been a member of the railway and transport union (former Transnet) since his apprenticeship at Deutsche Bahn AG. He represents his trade union in the DGB Stadtvorstand der Landeshauptstadt. In the Landtag election in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 2011, he was elected to the Landtag for the first time. From 2009 to 2014 he was deputy chairman of the parliamentary group Die LINKE in Schwerin city council. For the municipal election in 2014, the LINKE nominated him as a top candidate in Schwerin. After the election, the new faction elected him to the faction. In the 2016 parliamentary election, Foerster again stood as a direct candidate in constituency 8. When the national list was drawn up, the party nominated him in List Square 12. With an election result of 13.2 percent, DIE LINKE could only reach 11 seats in the new Landtag. After his departure from the Landtag, Foerster took up an activity as trade union secretary at the ECG in Rostock. By the change of Helmut Holter as a Minister of Education to Thuringia he moved to the end of August 2017 and now belongs again to the Landtag.
