Ewald Brüggemann attended the Volksschule and the Handelsschule. In 1933 he joined the Deutsche Reichsbahn and completed the commercial vocational school and the railway school. From 1949 he worked as an agent for personnel matters at various departments of the German Federal Railroad. Edit policytext

Ewald Brüggemann was a member of the board of the CDU Kreispartei Herford and the Löhner CDU city council, as well as deputy chairman of the municipal political association of the district Herford. In the municipality of Gohfeld, he was a councilor from 1956 to 1968. From 1961 to 1968 he served as a member of the Office of the Office for Wages. From 1963 he became a member of the district council of Herford and from 1975 he served as a councilor of the city of Löhne.
