As a daughter of a British interior designer and a German physician, Einmann grew bilingual. After graduating from high school in 1980, a French diploma and an apprenticeship as a theater merchant at the Ernst Deutschtheater in Hamburg, she studied journalism at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich from 1985 to 1989. During this time, she became a presenter at the private Tele 5 and has been working mainly for the ZDF since 1987. Among other things, she moderated The Knoff-Hoff-Show, the ZDF Sonntagskonzert, the Star Parade, ML Mona Lisa and the German Future Prize, which was annually published by the German President. She completed her internship at the ZDF foreign studios in London.
