Susanne Schürmann is a German publishing author, writer and translator.

Susanne Schürmann studied German language and literature at the Freie Universität Berlin, where she graduated with the state exams. Afterwards, she worked as a trainee in the debt service for upper secondary education. She moved to the publishing industry, where she worked as a freelance collaborator for various publishing houses. Since 1990 she has been a lecturer in the Carlsen publishing house in Hamburg, where she is responsible for the children's and youth book program.

Susanne Schürmann is the author of texts on textbook books. She also translates children's books from English and French into German.
