Miguel Armario


Miguel Armario Bosch (Larache, 1916 - Madrid, April 28, 2000) was a Spanish actor. Biography

Especially remembered for the role of Uncle Achilles, in the children's TVE program Chiripitifláuticos, when he approached the character, Armario already had a long interpretive trajectory behind.

He made his debut in the theater in 1932 and from the outset opted for the genre of comedy, playing with success at that time some of the works of Pedro Muñoz Seca as Anacleto is divorced, Extremadura are played or Revenge Don Mendo and Enrique Jardiel Poncela, as Angelina or the honor of a brigadier.

He later worked with his wife, the actress Rosa Sabatini, in the company of Brother Arroyo.

His cinematic experience was not very prolific and always played secondary characters. He debuted with El malvado Carabel (1956), by Fernando Fernán Gómez. Subsequently, intervened, among others, in Three of the Red Cross (1961), of Fernando Palacios; The story of Bienvenido (1964), by Augusto Fenollar; The city is not for me (1966), of Pedro Lazaga or Sor Citroën (1967), also of Lazaga.

But the real popularity comes from 1965 when it begins to interpret the character of Uncle Achilles in the space Antenna TVE. Such was the repercussion of the mini-space that from the following season The Chiripitifláuticos reached their own program and became an emblem for the generation of Spanish children educated in the sixties and early seventies.

Wardrobe retired from the stage in 1975, shortly after the death of his wife.
