In Lapponian mythology, Baeiwe is the solar God. He is represented in the center of a large number of magical drums, he goes in a figure of circle, square or triangle within which are the three holy men bearing names derived from Norwegian: Sod nabaeiwe (Sunday), Lava (Saturday) and Frid (Friday), as if they did not want to allude to the holy day in each of the religions they knew; Christianity (Sunday), Judaism (Sabbath) and Islam (Friday).

He was the only god to whom the Lappers offered burnt offerings and made him present to preserve them from disease and increase the flocks of cattle.
