Hans Hofer (politician, 1944)

Hans Hofer (born July 1, 1944, resident in Meggen) is a Swiss politician (CSP OW). He was the government council of the canton of Obwalden from 1990 to 2009.

The former secondary teacher was a member of the cantonal council from 1986 to 1990. In 1990, he was elected as a government councilor by the Obwaldner Landsgemeinde. There he directed the educational and cultural department. 1998/99, 2000/01, 2002/03 and 2007/08 he was the Landammann. In 2009, he returned to the end of the term of office.
