Fellowship (medicina)

Fellowship is in the academic field of American medicine a period of training for doctors who have already completed an internship or residence; covers one or two years, is considered a specialist program because it is postdoctoral. During this period they carry out the study and practice of a medical specialty and at the end of that period they undergo a mandatory examination called the speciality board examination after which they can already have the title of specialist doctor. It is not easy to get, so it is considered a great merit granting a fellow.
