Fernblock

Fernblock is a standardized and patented extract of Polypodium leucotomos, a tropical fern from Central and South America that, in its passage from aquatic to terrestrial life, developed natural mechanisms of protection against solar radiation. The antioxidant properties of this extract and its activity as oral and topical photoimmunoprotective have been demonstrated in several studies that support its safety and efficacy. The Fernblock has been patented and registered in Europe, Asia and America and is distributed in more than 26 countries with the name of PPL-240, Difur and Heliocare. Properties

- Antioxidant: prevents premature aging of the skin caused by solar radiation. It has proven its remarkable superiority against other antioxidants like vitamin C or beta-carotene.

- Fotoprotector: preserves the skin's defenses and increases tolerance to sunburn. Ingested before sun exposure, it significantly reduces surface inflammation of the skin produced by the sun, according to studies conducted in conjunction with the department of dermatology at Harvard University.

- Protects DNA or genetic material: it prevents skin cancer. The oral intake of Fernblock prior to exposure to ultraviolet rays significantly reduces the number of cells burned by the sun.

- Immunoprotector: Preserves skin defenses by controlling the production of skin cell regulatory proteins after exposure to ultraviolet rays. It has also been shown that Fernblock has protective properties in those cells in the superficial layer of the skin that have the capacity to produce a normal immune response, such as Langerhans, keeping them in number and morphology.

- Preventing photoaging of the skin: it protects against the appearance of inflammations, strengthening the skin and its mucous membranes, reducing the loss of elasticity and skin resistance compared to general elastosis. External
