Eduard Martínez i Ferrando (Valencia, 1883 - 1935) was a writer and intellectual of the Valencian Community, brother of Ernest Martínez i Ferrando and Daniel Martínez i Ferrando. He studied Law and Philosophy at the University of Valencia, where he was attracted by the fledgling political Valencianism, so that in 1908 he was one of the founders of the Joventut Valencianista. In 1917 accompanied Ignasi Villalonga to meet with Francesc Cambó. He was one of the signatories of the Valencian Declaration of 1918 and was part of the new Unió Valencianista Regional party. A prominent polemicist in favor of the unity of the Catalan language and the Catalan speaking countries, which he reflected in numerous publications and magazines such as Las Provincias, Pàtria Nova, La Veu de Catalunya or València Nova, where he faced Josep Maria Bayarri. / p> Works
