AQL

AQL (Associative Query Logic) is a database development technology.

Patented by QlikTech, it works in a different way when building and maintaining internally a non-relational but associative database that resides in RAM and high efficiency. The advantage of the AQL architecture is that the source data is retained and made available immediately and offline for analysis, completely up to the individual transaction. The result is a powerful analytical capability, delivered through a highly intuitive user interface that promotes exploration and creativity.

The conclusion that led to the creation of Associative Query Logic (AQL) was that hyperdimensional cubes based on OLAP and Data Warehouses were expensive and time-consuming to install. In addition, the user interface is simpler for people not related to the IT sector.
