Vice President of South Sudan The vice president of South Sudan was established in the country's independence, July 9, 2011.

Previously, there was a regional government of southern Sudan, since the agreements signed in Naivasha, Kenya, January 9, 2005, between the southern rebels led by the People's Liberation Army (SPLA) of John Garang and the government of Khartoum.
