René Donoyan


René Donoyan (born 8 April 1940 in La Ciotat) is a former French football goalkeeper. In 1964 and 1973 he was a French champion and completed 61 games in France's first league.

Donoyan started his career at AS Saint-Étienne. In 1964, he won his first big success with winning the title. However, he was only twice in the championship season. He then changed the club, first to AS Cherbourg. In the following years he played with several other clubs. FC Nantes was his last career stadium; there he completed a total of 23 first division games from 1972 to 1976. He also played for the UEFA Cup. In 1973 he became French champion again with Nantes, he completed four games this season. He spent most of his career in the second division.
