Nevada Legislature


The Nevada Legislature is the legislative body of the state of Nevada, United States, and is based in Carson City, the state capital. It is a bicameral body, consisting of the Nevada Assembly and the Nevada Senate.

The Nevada Constitution sets the maximum size of the Legislature at 75 members, and stipulates that the Senate must not be less than one-third or more than half the size of the Assembly. Currently, the Legislature has 63 members: 42 in the Assembly and 21 in the Senate.
