Dr. Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari (born 1940) is a famous Hindi Literature and is the Chairman of Sahitya Akademi for the period from 2013 to 2017. He is the founder-editor of the literary quarterly magazine 'Documents' published from Gorakhpur. This journal is a special magazine of composition and criticism, which is getting published regularly since 1978. In 2011, he was awarded Vyas Award.

In 1940, Acharya Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, born in Raipur Bhainsahi-Bhadihari village of Kushinagar, was also a popular teacher. Prof. Tewari retired in 2001 from the post of the Hindi Department of the University of Gorakhpur.

He is the landlord of England, Mauritius, Russia, Nepal, USA, Netherlands, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, China, Austria, Japan and Thailand, with the dust trail of the village. He has received many honors from Uttar Pradesh Hindi Institute. Russian President Vladimir Putin received the prestigious Pushkin Award in literature. He was honored by the Government of Uttar Pradesh by the teacher. He has been honored by the Uttar Pradesh Hindi Institute by the Sahitya Bhushan Samman, Hindi Gaurav Samman, Central Hindi Institute, Mahapandit Sankrityayan Samman, Mahadevi Varma Goenka Samman, Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad's work. The critique of the book written on Hazari Prasad Dwivedi has been translated into Gujarati and Marathi languages.
