Fire Brigade of Honor (Waldeck)

The Fire Brigade was founded on January 20, 1913 by Prince Frederick of Waldeck-Pyrmont, and was awarded to persons who were at least 25 years of faithful service in a volunteer fire brigade or outstanding merit for the fire extinguishing system of the country or a Community.

The silver medal shows the initial F (Friedrich), surpassed by the Prince Crown, with the circulatory inscription GOD TO THE EHR * NEXT TO THE WEHR. On the reverse, crossed with the stalks, a pointed hook and a fire-brigade ax, on which a fire-brigade helmet is placed. COMPLETE FOR MERIT FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHING 1913.

The award was given on a black ribbon with red and yellow margins on the left chest. Edit source text
