Terapias manipulativas

In medicine, manipulative therapies are a set of therapies that rely on manual manipulation and soft tissue to restore health.

It is a very wide body of techniques and the manipulative tradition is developed by various professionals according to the School, such as osteopaths, Doctors D.O., chiropractors, physiotherapists and specialized masseurs.

In Spain, although there are many private centers that offer these disciplines both health professionals and lay people, currently none of these disciplines are officially regulated (that is, they have no academic validity), except in the case of physiotherapy, being the only university degree that includes these studies in its official undergraduate program. Notwithstanding that there are other professionals of the manipulative therapies that they exercise without regulation, nor obtain official qualification, but worked legally within the Spanish state.

In several jurisdictions some of these therapies are not regulated and are not recognized as conventional practices.
