Bartomeu Suau


Bartomeu Suau Serra (Palma de Mallorca, 14 March 1944) is a Catholic priest and social activist Majorcan who in 2000 obtained the Ramon Llull Prize in recognition of his educational work in the neighborhood of La indioteria de Palma de Mallorca , sa Indioteria, and his help to children.

Biography

In 1954 he entered the Seminary, where he studied Baccalaureate, Philosophy and Theology. He was ordained a priest in 1968 and destined for Lloseta, where he served as vicar.

In 1969 he was appointed Superior of the New Seminary, where he introduced numerous changes. In 1979 he was sent as vicar to the parish of San José del Terme, in the neighborhood of La Indioteria, where he distinguished himself by his social activity, with the creation of several associations: parish social action club, youth club, reintegration, farm school, center and older, etc.

In 2003, he was appointed Rector of Pont d'Inca, where he continued with social activities, including involving entrepreneurs in projects for children and youth.

He is currently rector of the Indioteria and the Pont d'Inca and continues to occupy the Club d'esplai Jovent and the Club d'esplai Utopia. Acknowledgments Publications
