August Wiebker


August Wilhelm Wiebker (born February 7, 1804 in Jarmen, Germany, March 26, 1849) was a German jurist and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly.

Wiebker was born in Jarmen in 1804 as the son of a merchant. He studied law in Greifswald, Berlin and Heidelberg. After completing his studies, he served as an attorney at Ueckermünde in 1830, as a district court judge from 1842, and as regional court director from 1844. He was elected to the National Assembly for the 12th electoral district (Anklam) of the Province of Pomerania, from 18 May 1848 until his death on 26 March 1849. Wiebker did not belong to any faction, but agreed with the Right Center. August Wiebker died of heart failure during the 182nd session of the National Assembly in the plenary hall.
