Andreas Hegewald

Hegewald went to the Thomasschule in Leipzig from 1964 to 1972 and was a member of the Thomaner choir. From 1974 to 1977 he attended the evening school at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Subsequently, he studied painting and graphic design at Günter Horlbeck there from 1976 to 1982. Together with Lutz Fleischer and Petra Kasten, he founded the Leitwolf publishing house in 1983, which specialized in artistically valuable editions. In 1990 he was one of the founders of the cultural association riesa efau and the gallery Adlergasse Dresden. In 2004, he and Christiane Just founded the publishing house Buchenpresse.
