The last cabin boy of Baquedano
The last cabin boy of the Baquedano is a novel by the Chilean writer Francisco Coloane, published in 1941, which brought fame to its creator. To date, it is part of the mandatory literature provided by the Chilean Ministry of Education for Basic Education. The novel, however, transcends itself and therefore can also be enjoyed by adults.
A year before its publication, it had won a contest of children's novels organized by the Society of Writers of Chile and sponsored by the Zig-Zag publishing house.
It was taken to the cinema as the last cabin boy by director Jorge Lopez in 1983. Chapters
