Sassi Ritti

Menhire von Sassi Ritti

The Sassi Ritti are four menhirs in the Pietra Murata at the village of San Piero in Campo, part of the municipality of Campo nell'Elba, and near the necropolis of the Villanova culture of Lo Spino in the west of the Italian island of Elba.

The four imageless menhirs, approximately rectangular in cross-section, with different heights below two meters, are an approximately north-south oriented series of monoliths decorated in Corsica (Alignment of Stantari, Alignements of Palaggiu) Pranu Muteddu). They were reported by Raphael Foresi to the responsible palaeontologists in Portoferraio in 1867, but they did nothing. In the past, burials and tools from Sardinian obsidian from Monte Arci have been found in the past. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
