Leon Birkholc


Leszek Leon Birkholc (born July 7, 1904 in Crone on the Brahe, † 22 April 1968 in Kłodzko) was a Polish rower.

Leon Birkholc ruled for the rowing company BTW Bydgoszcz. At the European Championships in 1926 the Polish four-in-a-row with Steuermann in the occupation of Franciszek Bronikowski, Leon Birkholc, Mieczyslaw Figurski, Franciszek Janik and Franciszek Brzesinski won the bronze medal behind the boats from Italy and Switzerland. At the Olympic Games in 1928, the Italian four came in front of the Swiss and Poland with Franciszek Bronikowski, Edmund Jankowski, Leon Birkholc, Bernard Ormanowski and Bolesław Drewek. Birkholc won his last international medal at the European Championships in 1929. Together with Jerzy Braun, Edmund Jankowski and Franciszek Bronikowski, he was awarded the bronze medal in the fourth place without Steuermann. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Edit FootnotesQuote text
