Felipe de Valois

Coat of arms of Philippe de Valois, Duke of Orleans Philip of Valois (1 of July of 1336 - 1 of September of 1375) was Duke of Orleans and count of Valois. He was the fifth son of Philip VI of Valois, king of France and his first wife Juana of Burgundy.

His father proclaimed him Duke of Orleans in 1344, title of new creation.

On January 18, 1344, when he was eight years old, he married Blanca de Francia (1328-1392), the posthumous daughter of Charles IV and his third wife Juana de Evreux. From this marriage, no children were born.

Philip of Valois had an illegitimate son known as Louis of Orleans, who was bishop of Poitiers and Beauvais.

At the death of Philip of Valois and having no heir the titles passed back to the crown.
