The Campus of Gijón is one of the campuses of the University of Oviedo, located in the Gijon parishes of Somió, Bernueces, and Cabueñes. Description

The lands that occupy belonged previously to the "José Antonio Girón Foundation" and were destined to the needs of the Labor University of Gijón. Although also known as Campus de Viesques because of the proximity of that populous residential area on the left bank of the river Piles, no part of the campus belongs to Viesques.
