Shri Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti is one of the oldest states in the country working for promotion, dissemination and development of Indore, Hindi. The committee was formed in the year 1910 with the inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi. In the year 1918, the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had challenged the formation of Hindi as the national language first from the committee's Indore-based campus. During the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan held here, Pujya Bapu sent Panht people, including his son Devdatta Gandhi, to Hindi in the non-Hindi language regions, to be made an English envoy and sent it to the then Madras province. In this session, money was collected for the purpose of establishing "Hindi Promoting Sabha" in the then Madras province. The establishment of the National Language Publicity Committee at Wardha has also played the historical role of Hindi Sahitya Samiti. In this way, the role of the Sri Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti in the first attempt of Hindi in the non-Hindi speaking states of the country has been very remarkable and impressive.

The Hindi Sahitya Sammelan was again organized in the year 1935 in the Committee. Gandhiji also presided over this session. Monthly magazine "Veena" published by the committee is the only magazine in the country which is being published continuously since 1927. Almost all the top writers, poets, essayists, story writers and critics of the country, including Acharya Ramchandra Shukla, Hazarilal Dwivedi, 'Nirala', 'Dinkar' Sumitranandan Pant, Mahadevi Verma, Premchand, Jayashankar Prasad, Vrindavan Lal Verma, Amrutlal Nagar and Makhanlal Chaturvedi The form has been written in "Veena" This is the reason that renowned poetist Mahadevi Verma often used to say that "The history of Hindi language and literature will always be incomplete without the mention of the committee and the harp".

The committee was established as a library. The library of the committee is still one of the most eminent libraries in Madhya Pradesh. There are about 25 thousand books in it. Efforts are being made to computerize this library and develop it as an e-library. Dr. PD Sharma Research Center has been set up by the Committee for the purpose of promoting high level research in Hindi language and literature. Goddess Ahilya V.V. From this recognized center, till April 2010, 55 students completed their research and completed their Ph.D. Has earned the title.

The Committee has set up a Sanskrit Research Institute with the aim of encouraging research on the scientific dimensions of Sanskrit. This research center was inaugurated by the President of India, Pratibha Patil, in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Governor Balram Jakhar and Indore's Sarand Shrimati Sumitra Mahajan. .

Efforts are made to reach out to people in Hindi by informing the new changes coming in the field of knowledge, technology, social and economic, by a department of the committee "contemporary study center". So far, senior scientist Dr. Sandeep Basu and Dr. Mashelkar, Justice Shri, J.S.Verma, Mr. V. D. Jainani and Mr. VS Kogaje, Senior Journalist Prabhash Ji, Ved Pratap Vedic, Shri B.G.Vergij and Mr. Rahul Dev Sansad Shri Naveen Jindal, Former Prime Minister, Mr. Chandra Shekhar, Former Vice President Mr. K. Krishnan, Mr. Bhairosinh Shekhawat, East Lokas Bharti President Shri Somnath Chatterjee and former Deputy Prime Minister Shri LK Advani have also participated in many programs of the country's reputed committee.

In current context, the committee is working towards the spread of Hindi along with all the Indian languages ​​in the process of promoting language usage in the field of linguistic syndication and computer and information technology. For the purpose of this purpose, the committee has organized several workshops for the training of Hindi blogging. In which Shri Ravi Ratalmi and Shri Icak Shrivastava have given training to the mode of making blogs in Hindi.
